Low-Octane Gaslighting – KTLA CHANNEL 5, LOS ANGELES
Interesting how these stories always trend in the same direction.
It is a now familiar pattern; an individual is picked up by federal authorities, the families craft fanciful tales, a lawyer will step up with bold accusations, and only later will we hear from authorities and a truer story emerges.
This time, a woman was said to have been picked up at night by bounty hunters and held at an anonymous warehouse. It was only after the reporting came out did the station get clarification:
“This woman was never arrested or ‘kidnapped’ by ICE,” said Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “If the media would have bothered to ask—ICE does not employ bounty hunters to make arrests. This bizarre tale about being picked up by bounty hunters, taken to an unmarked warehouse without access to food, water, or an attorney were clearly fabricated.”
In other words, they are running a story without having any facts.

Race to the Bottom – BBC
When a government broadcaster is exempt from government rules.
With all of the hysteria over the group Bob Vylan and the calls from the stage for the death of IDF soldiers while performing at a festival, all kinds of news has come out. They have since been dropped by their talent agency, their USA visas have been revoked, and their planned tour of North America this summer has been completely scrapped.
But another aspect is in asking how it is that they, and the national TV network showing their concert, will avoid punishment in Britain for hate crime violations?
This is the country that is jailing people over offensive content posted on social media, so how is this rap group — and more specifically, the BBC — not being brought up on charges for more inflammatory content, and doing so with a much larger audience?

Hoax & Change – THE WRAP
Maybe, just stick to covering the movies.
Sharon Waxman, writing at the entertainment portal she publishes, The Wrap, details what is being experienced in Los Angeles, as the high-moneyed elitists contend with their help being tormented by ICE raids.
She details how one person said to her, “It’s like Anne Frank!”

Race to the Bottom – MSNBC
Wait…only illegals will do this…?!
Kelly Osbourne had guests on a segment to discuss the rounding up of illegals, and she lapsed right into the now-familiar racist mantra of needing cheap illegal labor.
That she thinks no other people will work as busboys to clear tables in restaurants is some delightfully elitist positioning on the topic.
MSNBC thinks the only people who will “clear your plate” are illegal immigrants

My first job, at age 15, involved clearing people’s plates
For ~$4.00 per hour as I recall. No tips either.

Anti-Social Media – CNN
It has finally happened – Scott Jennings has taken the 20% side of an 80/20 issue!
The law of averages was bound to see this play out eventually. CNN’s resident narrative-buster, conservative Scott Jennings has come out with a bad take on a topic!
Now, granted, this was during a “Scott’s Unpopular Opinion” segment, but still this is troubling.
With the Fourth of July nearly here, he came out to take a controversial stand – he despises the long-held, vaunted American tradition of staging hot dog eating contests that normally are held on our nation’s birthday!
Every single one of you knows that the hot dog eating contest is disgusting.
